Leena Vajanto

I am a jewelry artist from Helsinki, Finland. I have been making jewelry for nearly twenty years. I have studied metalsmithing in School of Arts and Crafts in Vihti, Finland.

I have also studied a wide range of jewelry subjects in various courses. In my jewelry I combine my handmade chains with glass beads, fused glass and PMC (Precious Metal Clay).

Some pieces I have designed around handmade glass beads made by glass bead artists, such as Breezy Riggs (Harvest Beads) (see my links).

Glass fusing is my latest enthusiasm and I’m enjoying in learning more about it. The glass art I make is always made of combatable glass and it is annealed properly.

I also design and make custom made jewelry. Currently I am studying gemology.
